Sekander Zulker Nayeen is a Joint District and Sessions Judge, a mid-level judge, in the Bangladesh Judicial Service and the UK Government’s prestigious Chevening Scholar. He is the co-founder and director of SDG Lab, an organised initiative to generate and disseminate knowledge on Sustainable Development Goals with a view to helping national and international communities to attain the goals. He is a researcher to International Research Initiative Bangladesh (IRIBD), an online research platform providing academic research opportunities for graduate students and university professors. He teaches at the department of Law & Human Rights in University of Asia Pacific. Formerly, he was a lawyer at the District Judge Court, Dhaka. He also served as adjunct faculty at the Department of Law and Department of Business Administration in Northern University Bangladesh.
Zulker Nayeen completed LLM in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution with Distinction from the City, University of London. He studied LLB (Honours) and LLM (First Class) in the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Zulker Nayeen has research interests in civil litigation, international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, mediation, negotiation, Muslim law of succession, family law, human rights, access to justice etc.
