Mahmudul Hoque Moni is a member of Bangladesh Civil Service. Being a Chevening Scholar he studied MA in Governance and Development at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) in the UK. He previously earned master degrees in International Relations as well as in Journalism, Media and Communications. He worked in several capacities in development sector. He had worked as a photojournalist in news media organisations, as the Chief Executive of the Centre for Practical Multimedia Studies, as a Director of an NGO, EKMATTRA, and as a Lecturer at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. He writes opinions and creative pieces for varied newspapers and websites. In development studies, his main areas of interest are local, regional and global governance, democracy and accountability, policy analysis, media, international relations and sustainable development goals. He is also co-founder and director of Say for Development, a platform for sharing knowledge and views on Development.
